A one-off consultative assembly of the Union of Italian Jewish Communities – gave us the opportunity to present the latest project of the Jewish Cultural Heritage Foundation in Italy (Fondazione per i Beni Culturali ebraici in Italia onlus): a CD and publication in honour of Tullia Zevi. The centenary of her birth was celebrated in recent months by the Head of State at his Official Residence, the Quirinale, with music played on the piano by Riccardo Joshua Moretti and on harp by Elena Zaniboni, the event being coordinated by Moretti.Dario Disegni, President of the Foundation, said: “The publication and CD are a means for the Foundation to express its affectionate and grateful recognition to the person who first thought of our Foundation, and strongly wished it to safeguard our artistic and cultural Jewish heritage”. Thirty-three years after its establishment, the Foundation “continues the work further developing its key activities following the path traced by Tullia Zevi, to guarantee the recovery, conservation, restoration and appreciation of the extraordinary Jewish cultural heritage through many projects in a number of areas”. An essay by Micaela Procaccia is also included in the publication (16 December 2019).To request a copy of the CD, please email the Secretariat at firstname.lastname@example.org. Offers received will be devolved to recover and restore works.
